That’s right folks – the power went on in August. Right on schedule. So stoked. Also began the process of building the pair of carriage doors for the large bay opening. Lil’ inside outside action:
Makin’ donuts:
The tops have a nice arc – made these with a Japanese rip saw:
One down one to go:
Twins all lined up:
And finished up the first and second coat of blue stain “Brilliant Sea”. The good folks at the Home Depot matched this Behr Solid Paint color to their solid paint dead nuts. I went flat and it has a milk paint look to it. I’ll finish up the insulation of the doors and hang them (hopefully) this weekend:
And finally some bike content. Well old but new content. Just foolin’ with the Snakedrivers setup these past weeks as I wait for the shop build to finish up. A pair of Groovy Luv Handles. I think something between the jones H-bars and these would be right up my sleeve…
Next up will be finalizing the Bridgeports wiring and get that sucker moved the hell across the shop. It’s gotta go about 7ft to the north. That’s not far but for a one man show that’s like asking a mountain to get out of the way. At least it “looks” that way right? I got it up on blocks relatively painlessly but I have to say it was a bit nerve racking leveraging that much weight with a tanker bar in one hand and moving 1″ blocks into place with the other. I’ll roll some schedule 40 pipe in there and get that sucker in place one way or the other. Stay tuned.
Shop update – Power, Doors-n-more.
