Then after lunch, and a little playtime with the pup it’s down to the shop. I’ve been working on Patrick’s fat bike this week and things are coming together quickly. Monday I got his bottom bracket assembly prepped, dropouts welded to the chainstays and pretty much the entire frame mitered/fitted. First miter on the chainstays:
Tacking the drops (actually letting the post flow do it’s thing in this shot) and drops welded up:
Finalized bottom bracket assembly:
Gives you an idea of what will fit back there…
Tuesday was spent venting all the tubes, running the internal cable routing guides and then prepping/tacking the front triangle. Here I am welding the bottom bracket sub-assembly:
Fitting the stainless tubing for internal cable routing:
And then it was on to tacking the front triangle JUST in time for my camera’s battery to die… I’ll be welding up the main triangle fully this afternoon (wednesday) with a freshly charged battery so stay tuned kids. I’ll have plenty of action later.
