Wrapped up all major work today on Patrick’s 29er. Tomorrow I’ll do all the finishing work bright and early (Went for a much needed gravel road ride at 4pm this afternoon…). On the schedule for today was finishing the seat stay welds (at the dropouts) and hand fitting/welding the seat stay bridge. Lastly was to braze the bottle bosses in place and two cable guides for the rear brake hose. Here I am fitting that seat stay bridge:
And finishing the welds on the dropouts/seat stays:
And brazing the bottle bosses. Trying a new flux out from the good folks at Henry James. Good stuff:
And pretty much finished! This is pre-soak to remove the flux. I’ll do all the finishing work tomorrow in the a.m. Then it’s off to powder. Next up: FATNESS.
