Been a while, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been building! Time has been short with holiday, travel and work intensifying as we come into the month of december. I was contacted a while back by a client looking for a 29+ built around a Rohloff hub. This one should sport some fine wheels built by hand by none other than Mike at Lacemine29. Velocity Dually’s with a Hope 15mm TA front hub and Rohloff rear. Thomson X4 stem, Thomson Ti Riser Bar, Lynskey Titanium was employed for a ti setback seat post. Paul Mtn. Cranks. Surly Knards will be the rubbers. Few other little bits along with Paint by Jay at Circle A Cycles in Providence Ri. Bikes finished up and we’re finalizing paint now. Also a customn Segmented fork is being built by Drew at Engin Cycles. That should be on it’s way shortly too. This ones going to be a nice little ride that is for sure. Few images from the whole process for you to enjoy.
Also had to make a tool for some extra chainring clearance. I have been meaning to make this sucker for some time now, but finding the time has been tough. I also wasn’t quite finished mentally in regards to how I was going to make it either. I had some ideas, but nothing certain. This build actually got me inspired to get that hashed out:
And all that work paid off. Literally took about 5 seconds to do this…
More to come once it’s back from paint! Till then…
Victor’s 29+
