Dave at Angles and Poise has a killer graphic outlining the New England Framebuilder “Bloodline”. He recently did me the honor of adding me in there with some heavy hitters of the craft. I feel a greater sense of purpose honestly. I mark my start date on October 21, 2008 when I officially received my Registered Trademarks from the United States Patent and Trademark Officefor the wordmark “Fortyfour” and the numeric “44” (3,522,336 and 3,522,336). That’s when I knew it was real and I was officially on my way to making 44 Bikes a reality.
In other news, the New England Builders Ball is rapidly approaching. Mark your calendars two times: October 5, 2012. 7-10pm @ The Biltmore in Downtown “Sunny” Providence, Rhode Island. I’ll have 3 bikes on hand: Big Boy Fat Bike build with full fast packing loadout, a Kid Dangerous 29er trail machine and a newly finished Huntsman Cyclcross / Gravel Grinder with some nice little details including a 9 speed Retroshift, Internal Cable Routing, custom wishbone stays and more. I’ll also have plenty of stickers on hand too for those of you that want a little piece of 44 in your pocket, on your car or for your favorite water bottle. This also just happens to be the same day/weekend as the RISD Alumni weekend AND my 10th anniversary since graduating. If you’re coming up for the weekend, be sure to stop by the show and say hello friday night. Hope to see you all there!
Here’s some Bicycle XXX for you to peruse in the meantime…
