Few weeks ago the Fox fork Mike and I were waiting on decided to finally show up. Pretty much each time I order a Fox fork, they’re 2 months out from delivery. That’s good news for them! But… Perhaps not so good for the customer. So I’ll make some adjustments with that for future builds. So if you’re in the list and know you’re getting a Fox, expect to order it sooner than later. But, after a long wait, Mike’s 29er came together. Parts spec was a rare but welcome “Builders Choice”. Mike put his trust in me to spec the bike as I’d spec it. I gave him two lists, one a mix with weight and price taken into account and of course, one that was no holds barred. We ended up picking a mix from the two. King, ENVE, I9, Shimano, Sram X9, Thomson, e13, Stans, WTB, DT Swiss… just a few of the household names you may be familiar with. Few choice shots before she went out the door: Once things were all finished and tuned, I personally delivered this custom to Mike’s front door in Massachusetts. This pic says it all: We suited up and went for a maiden voyage at some local singletrack. A great day and wonderful to make the handoff in person. Enjoy it Mike!
